"Wolontariusze bez granic" to cykliczny projekt, promujący ideę wolontariatu zagranicznego. Projekt realizują byli uczestnicy programu Wolontariat Europejski (European Voluntary Service - EVS).
Buuuuuuuuu :-(. Druga część ekipy doprowadza do porządku nasze samochody (usuwamy naklejki) i robi porządek w zdjęciach, żeby umieścić je później w internecie.
(29.09.2007) SOBOTA, RZESZÓW Today was the last full working day! Już!! Sniff… On this Saturday morning, we so woke up in a nice hotel in Rzeszów. Yet early in the morning the sun is shining and the sky is very blue, without any clouds. A promising day is beginning! We all met in the restaurant room for breakfast at 8.30am. Once again we could enjoy a nice breakfast, which satisfied everybody. Damian, our contact in the city, who works at Bank Żywności, joined us, distributing by the way a lot of “gifts” about the region, Podkarpacie: touristic brochures, necklaces and a tee shirt that we wore during your intervention in Rzeszów... red, black, blue, white or beige are the colours of the day!
After that, around 10am, we headed to a little square in the city centre, just on one of the main shopping street, close to a McDonald’s (strategic point, close to which a lot of youngsters may regularly pass by :-) during our stay). Today we were acting “na ulicy”, informing the young pedestrian and Saturday’s shoppers. It was quite hard to install our material and numerous boards as the wind was blowing and we often had to run after our leaflets :-). As it was Saturday morning, a few people passed by the square and we could inform some youngsters, giving them details about EVS, answering their questions and distributing them our last gadgets and leaflets. But acting in the street is really quite different from acting in schools and it needs for sure a different method.
I spoke to a young High School pupil who was very interested in EVS. He actually would like to go to France and especially (and exclusively) to Paris, where he already went for one week by the past. EVS could be the opportunity, but he is also thinking of going to study to France. I answered to his questions as well as I could. At 2pm, our intervention came to an end. It was time to go for lunch. Damian brought us to a nice restaurant promising “Kuchnia Polska & Pizza”. We got two tables under the basement and enjoyed a great lunch in a very charming atmosphere. Naleśniki were particularly appreciated! After that, we came back to the hotel, not for a siesta but for an evaluation of the week, and last but not least: to prepare our last evening together!! Thus at the hotel we evaluated the all week, each one of us giving his/her own opinion, liberating positive minds as drawbacks. Anyway, the most recurrent sentence undoubtedly was “bardzo podabała mie się” and we all seemed quite delighted (notably about the preparatory visit, the organisation of the all week, the cohesion in the group, the meals and accommodation, etc), not hesitating to point out some perfectible points.
After we met Damian at the Rynek in the late evening. We so could enjoy a Saturday night evening in Rzeszów, in a nice student pub! As for me, Rzeszów definitely is a pleasant city. This is not a big one but it a quiet and nice atmosphere.
